Terms & Conditions

Please read the below carefully because by booking your session, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Streamline Organising will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, except in exceptional and specific circumstances where we are obliged by law to disclose such information. Irrespective of who instructs us or pays for our services, Streamline Organising will always maintain the confidentiality of our client; that is the person with whom we are working and who is receiving the benefit of our services and professional help.

Streamline Organising will store all client information securely and will only use your personal details in connection with the services that we provide you. Streamline Organising will never divulge any client information to third parties without your consent. Payment Policy

Payment is to be made upon request and your appointment will only be confirmed upon receipt. For a one category session 100% of the fee must be paid upfront to secure the booking. For larger packages, 50% of the fee must be paid upfront to secure the booking of the first session and the discounted package price; the remaining 50% is to be paid before the third session.

An invoice will be issued and is payable direct by BACS using the bank details shown on the invoice. All charges shall be payable on invoice as set out above. Interest at 2% per month will be charged on any balance due which remains unpaid 14 days after the invoice.

You will receive a document following your free consultation containing these terms that will require a client's signature. The signed contract is required prior to the start of the first session. 

Cancellation Policy

It is essential that when you book you are serious about attending your session as a commitment to yourself and to Caroline. Streamline Organising appreciates that you may need to reschedule or cancel a session and operates a strict and transparent cancellation policy.

Rescheduling:

- If you reschedule a session more than 48 hours before the start time, there is no fee.

- If you reschedule less than 48 hours before, you will be charged 50% of the session price.

- If you reschedule less than 24 hours before, you will be charged 100% of the session price.

- If you are on a package, the price of a session is calculated using the pro-rata’d hourly rate of the package multiplied by the number of hours booked for the session that is to be rescheduled. The rescheduled session must be completed within 2 months of the original session date. For rescheduling due to COVID, please see the below section on COVID protocols.

Cancellation and refunds:

If you cancel without looking to reschedule to another time the following refund policy applies.

- If you cancel an individual session more than 48 hours before the start time, you will be refunded 50% of the price you paid for it.

- If you cancel an individual session less than 48 hours before the start of the session, you will not receive a refund.

- If you wish to cancel your package before the first booked session has taken place, the cancellation policy will be applied as if you had booked a full price individual session: you will be billed 50% of the full price of an individual session (if more than 48 hours notice) or 100% of the full price of an individual session (if less than 48 hours notice) and you will be refunded the balance of what you have paid.

- If you wish to cancel your package after the first session and do not wish to proceed with the remaining session(s), you will be billed for 100% of the full price of an individual session plus up to 50% of another full price individual session at Streamline Organising's discretion; you will be refunded the balance (if any) of what you have paid.

- If you cancel or reschedule a session that has already been rescheduled once, you are not eligible for a refund. 

Covid Policy

Streamline Organising follows government guidelines. Please inform us ASAP if you or your household experience COVID symptoms or test positive so we can manage the diary. Caroline pledges to do the same and errs on the side of caution. In the case of a positive COVID test for either party, rescheduling a session will not incur a charge. In the (hopefully hypothetical) event of a lockdown where home visits are no longer permitted, we can pause packages until we are able to resume, refund the unused remainder of packages (charging full price for any sessions already provided) or conduct sessions virtually depending on client preference.

Session Timing & Breaks

The timing and length of a session - typically five hours - is pre-agreed between a client and Streamline Organising. As the end of your session approaches, Caroline will remind you of this and wrap up the session. If you and Caroline both would like to extend the session and are available to do so, extra time will be charged at the hourly rate as specified in Services

If a session spans a meal time, a 30 minute meal break will not be counted within the session time. For example, a five hour individual session could span 09:30 to 15:00 with a lunch break 12.30-13.00. Timings are agreed between the client and Caroline, either in advance or at the start of the session. It is important to maintain your energy levels and work at the pace that you are comfortable with so additional breaks are taken as you require and are counted within the session time. 

 

Streamline Organising always advises a consultation prior to booking a session(s). During the consultation we will work with you to determine how many sessions you may require. It is not always possible, however, to give an accurate estimate and jobs may require more sessions/hours than initially thought depending on a variety of factors as each job and client is unique.

The number of sessions is dependent on the following factors:

  • The size of your home and volume of items to be addressed;

  • The number of categories you want to commit to;

  • Your pace in determining what ‘sparks joy’;

  • Your preparation before each session;

  • Your willingness to continue work independently following our session(s).

Third Party Products & Services

Streamline Organising may provide you with recommendations and/or website links to additional products and services from third parties. Examples include storage products and recycling services. Streamline Organising cannot be held liable or responsible for any direct or consequential loss or damage resulting from the products and services it recommends.

Working Conditions

Please ensure there is good access immediately outside your home and inside your home. Streamline Organising is unable to move furniture due to reasons of health and safety.

Should the working area be considered unsafe Streamline Organising reserves the right to cancel the session without refund.

​

Because one-to-one tidying sessions require your concentration, it is strongly recommended that young children, family members, pets and other sources of distraction are not present during sessions. If you are unsure whether something or someone will be a distraction for you, please discuss this with us ahead of your session.

Removal of Discarded Items

Streamline Organising cannot be held liable or responsible for any items that are discarded. Whilst Streamline Organising can provide recommendations on where to sell, recycle, donate and dispose your items, Streamline Organising is unable to provide valuations or remove discarded items from your home.

Photography, Videography & Testimonials

Streamline Organising uses before and after photographs to support a client's tidying journey and these photographs may be shared with KonMari® Media Inc. privately and for the purposes of demonstrating completion of our session only.

Streamline Organising uses before and after photographs to inspire others on this website and on social media platforms. They are always anonymised; the client cannot be identified through the photograph. We will always ask for your express permission to use your testimonials, photographs and videos in this way. 

Cleaning

Streamline Organising is not a cleaning service and we are therefore unable to provide cleaning services. 

Travel Costs

All services paid for include travel costs provided the services are carried out within the county of Surrey, Berkshire or Hampshire. Outside of these areas travel expenses and additional fees will be charged and pre-agreed before a session takes place.

Insurance

Streamline Organising provides an in-home service and whilst every care will be taken with your possessions whilst in your home, Streamline Organising cannot be held liable for any direct or consequential loss or damage. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate and appropriate insurance for your possessions.
